(You're probably in the wrong place. If you want my blog, it's now here. I'm now using pitas to store interesting links, so if you don't mind my odd tastes, take a look.

Somethings I Found....

Thursday, August 23, 2001, 12:23 p.m.

A most amusing quote from Laura. XD XD This is the bane of all fandoms, I think. [and, incidentally, rape fics are a squick of mine. :P]

> I still don't like rape-as-catalyst-for-romance, though.

Oh, come on. Everyone knows that Blair has to be viciously raped in order for Jim to admit his feelings for him and heal him with wonderful sex. Did you miss that part of orientation or something?

Heaven help me, I'm surrounded by amateurs.

Book recomendations:

Wicked by unknown author. Also wrote 'Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister.' A re-telling of the Wizard of Oz from the witche's point of view. From Anne-san.

When Rabbit Howls by Truddi Chase: about a person suffering from multiple personality disorder. Anne-san's rec.

Travesti: sex, gender, and culture among Brazilian transgendered prostitutes by Don Kulick: what the title says. Recomended by Janaki-san.

Fallen Angels by Larry Niven: Sci-fi book making fun of fans. What more could you want? Off Catsy's blog.

The Heart is a Lonely Hunter by Carson McCullers: About a Southern Belle? Same authour as 'Ballad of a Sad Caffe' (or 'Sallad of the Bad Caffe *snicker*), so sounds good. From kate-chan.

The Harperhall Trilogy by Anne McCaffrey: Dragons of Pern, right? I've been meaning to read this. Kate-chan's rec again.

The Chalice and the Blade by Glenna McReynolds: Haven't a clue. It's a romance to start with, I think it's fantasy, and due to the topic of the conversation, it might be slash. From Meril-san.

Dude, strings of fate promises to be an interesting. The cover also looks as though it were yaoi. Online! XD I *heart* free stuff.

I also like Mega Tokyo, just cute and funny.

Sexy LosersI think, I'm not sure, that this is the replacement for the hilariously wrong Thin H Line. I miss that comic... at any rate, don't read this in public, and don't read it if you h3ntai humor scares you.

...And yet, I return to pitas. Go figure. I'm fond of it-- simple, basic, and home for my first blog. *hugs pitas*

I'll be using this for a center of links. Mostly this'll be a refrence for me, since I'm constantly jumping around the world (and therefore computers), but you might find something of interest. That is, if you're also a mad y40i-er, radical liberal, femenist, and any other of the plethora of adjective that describe me.

Scanlations theme!
Pleas Save My Earth: Back when I was in the Sailormoon fandom, Jennifer Wand was one of my favorite authors. I've moved on, but I still check her website every once in a while. Especially because treats like this pop up! I *heart* PSME. In zip format.

DN Angel, Detective Conan, Ruroni Kenshin: She also seems to have plans for DevilDevil, which makes me happy. Zipped format.

Clamp Campus Detectives: In html format. Slower than if it were zipped, but hey, I'm not picky. I think I might end up buying the manga because of this. Well, 'buy it' as in going to a second hand bookstore are get it for 100yen. Still.

More Anime Things
How odd. It's in Russian. Yet it offers Digi Charat and FLCL. If it's still up when I'm back in college I'll check it out.

WebDesign Schtuff
Nuthin but Links. Too many of the links are broken for my taste, but some of them still work. A nice plethora of sites designed to help with webdesign.

Something I'm Surprised I Looked Up
I normally stay out of politics (though how you could call Bush political boggles my mind), but this looks as though it might be fun. I have yet to read it.

Annoying but Important Crap
SirScam Virus: I've gotten this damned thing six times in three different email accounts. Persistent little bastard. I'm highly grateful to this page for explaining what the thing *does.*

Yes, I'll miss pitas. It was convinient, straightforward, and friendly. But because I'm a layout whore, from now on it's blogger. C'mon, change your link refrence, already! ;)
